We truly enjoy supporting pilots in our community with basic and advanced education that opens up new frontiers safely to pilots looking to stretch their wings. Our staff is committed to giving the most thorough and safe instruction to the students we serve in a manner that is simple to understand, patient with the learning process and just plain fun. Over time, many pilots have come to us looking to advance their skills and sharpen their approach to flying. Some pilots have also come to earn additional ratings. We have been able to respond with effective ways to tune-up basic and advanced pilot skills and offer seasoned insight on a safe approach to higher levels of paragliding.

Pilot Tune-Up

Some pilots come looking to get better at controlling the glider. Our pilot tune-up includes assessing weather conditions, identifying all of the hazards we may be faced with, a thorough pre-flight, smooth inflation of the wing overhead, skillful kiting both forward and reverse in a variety of wind conditions, solid and controlled launches, smooth transition into flight, coordinated turns, thoughtful landing approaches, appropriate flare timing and controlling the wing gently back to the ground. We have found that even advanced pilots strongly benefit from experienced coaching. If there is something specifically that you want to improve on, we can customize the training to fit your needs.

USHPA Pilot Ratings

P2, P3, P4, and Tandem 1 Ratings
Some pilots come to us looking for specific ratings and skills sign-offs. We take ratings quite seriously and feel that this is an excellent opportunity review our skills and study our approach to flying. We can assess your skills by observing your flights, help provide opportunities to advance your skills, and issue USHGA testing to help you reach the next milestone in your flying career. We will review your flying career and talk about how to take on your future endeavors with greater awareness and increased safety. The Pilot Tune-Up and USHPA Pilot Rating Clinic is a four hour session, including testing. If we see that you could benefit from further instruction before we issue the rating, we will schedule follow up lessons. If you have everything USHGA is looking for we will sign you off that day.
