Fly Above All instructors love to fly and we strive to bring that passion to our students. We put in more training hill hours and have more experience than any other school in the area. When you sign on with Fly Above All you will get the South Coast's most experienced and dedicated instructors and the most current training equipment from the most reputable brands. We developed the lesson program and materials that other schools use!

We have many different lesson packages available: Introductory Tandem flights, One Day, Two Day (P1), Novice (P2), Intermediate (P3), Advanced (P4)

Introductory Tandem Flights
Elings Park Tandem - $125 (2 flights)
If you're not yet sure paragliding is for you, you're nervous about flying solo, or are just looking for a fun way to spend an hour, we will fly from the top of beautiful Elings Park in a safe, low stress environment. Group rates are available.

Mountain Tandem - $200
Fly from 3,000 - 4,000 feet at one of our local launches on the Santa Ynez Range and experience Santa Barbara from a new perspective. This flight provides an incredible view of South Coast!

One Day - Enroll Now
$200 - ~8 hours
A one day lesson is a great way to give paragliding a try if you're not already sure. We will cover equipment, launch techniques, pre-flight checks, and basic flying skills. You will fly solo when you and your instructor think it's appropriate! If you decide to continue to your Novice (P2) rating within two weeks of finishing the One Day course, the cost will be credited toward your Novice (P2).

Two Day (P1) - Enroll Now
$375 - 2 Days
Our two day course will progress you through your Beginner (P1) rating. We will cover all the same material as in the One Day course but you will gather experience, work on your ground handling skills, basic ground school topics, acquire the Novice (P2) syllabus, and take the Beginner (P1) test. At the end of two days you should have close to 20 flights from our training hill, membership in the national organization, and your Beginner (P1) certification! If you decide to continue to your Novice (P2) rating within four weeks of finishing the Two Day course, the cost will be credited toward your Novice (P2).

P2 Novice Certification Course - Enroll Now

The P2 course is your ticket to flying freedom. At the conclusion of this course you will be certified to fly solo, safely and confidently, without your instructor's supervision. However, we encourage all of our graduates to continue to fly with us and other alumni of our program as they work towards their P3. At Fly Above All you are always one of our students and are always welcome back for free refreshers, advice, tips, etc. Our graudates often call us from opposite ends of the Earth for advice!

*Equipment Purchases
A new student should be well into their lessons before deciding to purchase their own equipment. The time spent on the training hill will give both the student and their instructor the opportunity to choose a wing that is best suited to the student's abilities and their intended use. It is your instructor's job to help you select your first wing. Different paragliders have different characteristics and require different skill levels. The guidance of your trusted instructor will ensure that you choose a glider that will give you many hours of safe and fun flight. For this reason we do not accept students into the program who have already purchased equipment that is not appropriate for learning. Used and demo equipment is available through Fly Above All.

If we are unable to complete a program due to an operational shutdown, we will pro-rate a refund or merchandise exchange. There are no refunds or exchanges for students who terminate programs. Programs are not transferable to another individual. A surcharge may be applied if a student has missed training for more than 6 weeks. Reservations are required and are not confirmed until a deposit has been paid. Cancelling a reservation must done 72 hours in advance, or the full fee applies. Fly Above All, Inc. reserves the right to modify, change, or delete any aspect of the training programs or fees at any time.
