Fly Above All's amazing tour of France and nine of it's most amazing flying spots in 2003 would be hard to beat--except by our 2004 trip. Your guides, Chad Bastian and Irene Revenko, are accomplished pilots and instructors. They are also in love with paragliding the French Alps. This is not surprising as Chad has taken multiple flying vacations to the area Irene grew up in France and learned to fly in this amazing countryside.

ChamonixWe'll be based in Plaine Joux, touting flyable weather approaching 360 days per year! The locals here have constructed one of the best launches you will ever take flight from. After launching, you can climb up in a thermal against the granite cliffs behind launch for a better view of the area, then take your buddies and head off on a cross country excursion. Then we'll venture further taking day trips to many of the amazing sites in easy reach of this central location.

Our 2004 trip includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, accomodations and transportation! All you have to do is get to the Geneva Airport where we will pick you up, and the rest is covered! (You are responsible for your roundtrip airfare to and from Geneva. Start looking early, as prices fluctuate and can sometimes be a great bargain).

Join Fly Above All as they provide a tour sure to make you love the French Alps as much as they do!

From our location in Plaine-Joux, we can fly a number of sites, including:
Plaine Joux
This launch is one of the most consistent sites in all of France! Located just minutes from our hotel, this will likely be one of our favorite places to fly. On good days, you can go X-C to Chamonix (up the valley) or head out towards Annecy. Just boating around this valley has to be one of the most beautiful flights anywhere, with the Mont Blanc just above you!
Snow Launch Chamonix
The Chamonix valley is known for it's high altitude launches off the Aguille du Midi where you have to scale down a knife edge snow ridge to the glacier where launch is. Or you can launch the lower snow field near the first level of the Ski Tram, shown below. The views are breathtaking, and the altitude is exhilirating!

St Hillaire
This is where the Coupe Icare is held each year, the costume contest where the contestant must FLY the costume for the crowd! The launch is one of the most civilized, with outdoor carpet stretched tight where more than twenty gliders can set up simultaneously.

St Hillaire is situated in a long valley where we can fly for miles in either direction. The landing zone is visible for miles, due to the concentric circles marking the target. Just across the street, there are cafe's where we can eat and drink after the flight.

Lake Annecy
Take a tour all the way around the lake if you like. There are multiple launches here, where you can enjoy one of the most famous flying sites in the world. Annecy boasts one of the largest flying populations in France - on most weekends, you will literally see hundreds of pilots flying here.
